Just got an update about MKA Bios.

The Mortal Kombat team is focusing all of its resources towards development of the next Mortal Kombat game for next gen consoles. As, a result no additional MKA Bios are being created.

This is what we have to say:

- Just got an update about MK Team's habilities to keep their own story coherent: it's ZERO.
- Just got an update about my status as a consumer: disappointed.
- Just got an update about this petition: It keeps growing.

Many Mortal Kombat fans were disappointed after learning that MK Armageddon, the last chapter of the current MK saga, would not include character bios, which give coherence and continuity to the MK storyline (considered by the fans as one of the most important aspects of Mortal Kombat).

Then Ed Boon (co-creator of the series) said this in the Mortal Kombat Online's chat with the MK Armageddon development team in October 2006:

Question: Are the MKA bios going to be released online?
Ed Boon: Yes. We are going to be releasing the bio's on www.mkarmageddon.com
You will get the answers to all the questions you've had concerning the Armageddon storyline and perhaps even hints as to where it goes next.

MK Armageddon includes 64 characters, and a year after this statement, only 17 bios have been published on www.mkarmageddon.com

If you couldn't give us the bios, why even mention it in the Fight Night Chat hosted by MK Online in 2006? Because you wanted us to buy the game and you supposed we would forget about them... BUT WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN.

They once said we (the mk fans) were the most loyal fans. Is this a proper way to response to that loyalty?

I know about deadlines of the MK team and things like that, but Midway is not a group of junior programmers trying to create an emulator. Midway is a BIG company and they should treat their fanbase better.


To sum up: Ed Boon, Midway, or whoever is in charge of that decision, please, give us what we deserve: the MKA BIOS. You told us, so make it happen. If you want MK8 to be a no-brainer fight with 0 storyline among cool Tekken characters that's fine, we will leave the series for good. But the characters we love deserve a proper closure with the bios.

We are very happy with the already released bios, that's why we want more.
