MK9 News: A Date and a Character
25 Feb 2010 by Ivanhobe

Through out some of our informants (ie: our forums) we have uncovered a few interesting details about the upcoming MK9:

The First one, brought to us by our good friend KC Mraz, is a posible date for the official announcement of the game, and maybe a release date...

Brenda Barrie, a cute girl by the way, did the motion capture for sonya blade and wonder woman in the MKvsDCU crossover, and according to her personal page she will once again bring to life a character for a game developed by WB Games Chicago (formerly known as the MKteam), said game might be announced on April 2010, so wich character will she be playing? maybe on april we will know.

The other new, brought to us by our friend NeXus, is a posible confirmation of a character, if we already talk about the the body and skill of Sonya Blade, now we talk about her mind and soul, the actress who lend her voicework for sonya in MKvsDCU, borrow her voice once again, at least according to her personal web, to portray Sonya blade in a new MK game developed by WBIE during last september.

So unless the elder gods decide to play the ultimate prank on us, we can pretty much confirm that sonya will be back in the next mortal kombat, but will it be as a playable character or as a NPC? only time will tell...

Stay tuned for more updates, and if you want, you can check out our forums

Rumors about the next MK Movie...
26 Jan 2010 by Ivanhobe

Thanks to Bloody Disgusting we found out that Warner Bros, the current copyright owner of MK, has got in contact with screenwriter Oren Uziel so he can write the screenplay for a reboot on the MK franchise.

That´s right, i said reboot, apparently WB is looking to restart the story from Zero, probably beginning with the MK1 tournament in which the original movie was based on.

Does the MK movie franchise needs a reboot? hell yeah, i mean, the original MK movie was not bad by any means, for it´s time it was actually a good movie, but it can certanly be improved upon. That´s pretty much all the info available right now, no dates, no script, no producer, directors or the guy who brings the coffe, but since we are dealing with WB, well, i guess you can say it´s a safe bet.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Chameleon will not appear in MK9
13 Nov 2009 by Ivanhobe

We have an incredible update on the Mk9 front, what could it be?

The title of the Game? No
The confirmation of a character? Double no
Anything? Maybe...not really

It turns out that some kid send this to ed boon requesting for his favorite character, chameleon, to appear on the next MK, or better yet, to star his very own adventure, so now we present you with the new adventure game in the MK franchise, Mortal Kombat The Chamelon Quest....just kidding, actually ed boon`s answer was something more like "sorry, but i don`t think he is going to be in MK9", well at least he said sorry, good job Ed.

So...if you finished ROFL after reading this, please, stay tuned for more updates.
